I'm not much use on BBA and problems like that. What I can say is don't buy any of the Fluval Sea wave makers. I have to CP4 and they're a nightmare, noisy and vibration, no matter how much I clean etc. Horrible cheap product that I can't wait to upgrade and get rid of

These are apparently good ...All Pond Solutions Reef Surge 4000 Wave Maker and fully programmable. They make smaller wave makers, that are a lot cheaper but not programmable.
I along with @Stephen I use the Eheim StreamON surge pumps but think you'll find them little large for your aquarium. I'd would place the pump opposite end to your Oase canister filter, pointing towards the back to give a circular flow with the aquarium.

Eheim say (I quote)
The 3 models are 3500, 6500 & 9500. I have 2 x the Eheim 3500 on my 550L aquarium.
The Eheim 3500 (2.5W) is recommended for aquariums of 35L - 200L aquariums.
The Eheim 6500 (6W) is recommended for aquariums of 150L - 350L aquariums.
The Eheim 9500 (12W) is recommended for aquariums of 350L - 500L aquariums.
Going by Eheim's recommendation I think I should of bought 2 x Eheim 6500 instead of the 2 x Eheim 3500
All the best
I actually think the Eheim StreamON may be ideal fopr the 240L aquarium.Martinspuddle wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 22:22 pm These are apparently good ...All Pond Solutions Reef Surge 4000 Wave Maker and fully programmable. They make smaller wave makers, that are a lot cheaper but not programmable.

I agree with Martin's suggestion for positioning the wavemaker/circulation pump.Eheim wrote:The new EHEIM streamON+ is small, compact and extremely energy efficient. The pump is attached to the aquarium with a magnetic holder and can be easily adjusted on the glass. The ball joint allows the flow outlet to swivel in all directions (3D function) and the outflow capacity can be controlled with a variable slider.
Advantages of the EHEIM streamON+ streaming pumps
Compact streaming pump (3 models) for aquariums from 35 to 500 l
Suitable for both marine and fresh water
Ideal for simulating natural water flow found in rivers and coral reefs, etc.
Optimal water circulation for a natural, smooth current
Increases the oxygen content, creating natural living conditions
Vital for corals in marine water and beneficial for fish in fresh water
Securely attached with a magnetic holder, can be easily adjusted
Ball joint allows pump to swivel in all directions (3D function)
Variable outflow capacity
Extremely quiet and low-maintenance
Low power consumption and high energy efficiency
Integrated cable duct
Maximum safety and reliability (3 years warranty)
