Do any of you guys keep cherry barbs. If so, what do you feed them?
I'm hoping there's not an underlining issue but I have had some in my small tank for about 2-3 weeks now and I feed JBL flakes, same as what I feed my main tank. But the barbs never go to the top to eat. Then I tried some sinking granules but they don't touch that either. I didn't know if there was a certain type of food they like that I can try feeding them
What do you feed your cherry barbs?

Mine eat whatever goes in the tank, usually very eagerly!
My tank is fairly shallow however... can you try something live/frozen that will make it to the middle but not sink so fast?

I've never found small Barbs happy on flake and best to use live or frozen foods. I have ten and they are fed on Bloodworm, Brine Shrimp, Cyclops and probably eat Neocaridina shrimplets I have no doubt.
They do join in if I use a food tablet, if they can ever get a look in after Bob had his fill!

Thanks guys. I'll look into getting some live food then. I do have some bloodworm in the freezer so will try that later on today
