The trials and tribulations of keeping Oscars!
Anyone else have a soap opera of an aquarium??
My second biggest Oscar stopped eating 4 days ago, same food he's been eating for a year, begs for food, comes to top but refuses and swims off.
Now he's the grumpiest Oscar I have..
I figured he was just being a pain so ignored it, 4 days on and I have a pang of guilt/weakness so drive to elm pets and get some frozen garlic shrimp and some live locust. The So and so gobbled them up! I feel duped.
Next is the little terror. My smallest/youngest and only Red Oscar (Albino). He is a menace, forever tormenting the parrots, clearly for fun. He tries to get behind the filter intake to pull off the glass. Digs up any air stones I put in the tank and hides and ambushes the big Oscar, then runs. No real fighting, just what looks like baiting for fun! Then the big tank boss will give him a slap and he calms down for a day or so.
Here he is getting told off
Here he is creeping now
Who keeps Oscars?

I’m not. I’ve kept a lot of Oscars, I’m just not keeping them now. But I haven’t kept my last Oscar yet…PaulVerrall wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 19:38 pmHaha yeah it looks like it. Most people on the forum are far more sensible than me!
