Don't know much about snails, Nerites are the big colourful ones I assume, do they eat those tubular ones then? are the tubular ones pests?

Nerites are just very good algae eaters

The little tubular ones are MTS, they hide during the day and breed fast. A few can look nice but hundreds will give people the creeps, I like using nerite snails to control the available food.

I have hundreds of MTS, amongst the tanks (except the Trigon where there's still 3 zebra loaches) but they don't eat much algae.
This is the only tank without algae eaters in (BNs in the other three), so it always looks a mess - hence the nerites....I've not seen any for a while, so took advantage when I did.

I have a white snail appeared recently but I can't get a decent photo of it.

Looks like an "albino" bladder snail from the pic.....usually because there's not enough calcium around to colour up the shell.

I always have a few pest type snails, I quite like to see them hopefully they help to turn the substrate over and munch some algae, never seem to get too many so that's lucky since I don't really think about it much, saw some apple snails in a shop recently they were huge, don't think I would fancy that!

On a side note, do we think Angels would snack on bladder snails? My angel tank has no snails left which is a little annoying in my eyes! Could be Keyholes or Bolivian rams too, if it's happening.
