Does the new pet mean the fish get a treat?

Last weekend following a "meet the reptiles" day at my local fish shop - we ended up coming home with a Leopard Gecko for my Mrs & eldest son.

Everything all going well with it, and its feeding on mealworms and locusts (crickets are another option) - should i drop a few mealworms or locusts in the tanks too as a treat? - They'll end up in the bin before being fully used anyway so no harm in the fish getting in on the action!

Mealworms can be kept in the fridge, they go dormant and wake up when warmed up. They will keep for ages and there's no waste.
Crickets were a pain to keep alive so I gave up with them, we have now progressed from leopard geckos to a bearded dragon with slightly more awkward dietary requirements so I now buy roaches.

Be careful what you feed them to. They have a thick leathery skin that needs punctured or it won’t digest and can cause a nasty blockage. Cichlids will swallow them unchewed if they can, so they can be a dangerous food for them.
I don't keep fish, I keep water. Water keeps fish.
