How crushed flakes vanish!

I know I shouldn't have been surpised as I always crush the flakes and never think about quantity.... until now!
The tin in the photo was full to the brim when I got it. Then I crushed the flakes and was rather astonished to see just how small the amount really was.
The tin is now only a quarter full.
