Something that's not occurred to me before now - mainly because I've not had true bubble-nesters (apparently) do their thing : is each egg inserted into a bubble ; or is a clutch of eggs released indiscriminately and each left to float between, or underneath the mat of bubbles? I can't tell for sure.
These two pics are virtually identical but from everso slightly different angles. The nest is underneath some foliage which makes it difficult to get a decent shot from what would I think would be the best angle ...
Anyone know?
Intra-Bubble or Inter-Bubble?

As far as I know, eggs are released beneath the nest and float up to it. If they’re very light they’ll go right into the nest(?) and I assume some could ‘burst’ bubbles and end up inside one. I can’t see a benefit to an egg being inside a bubble on purpose. It surely wants to be surrounded by water, not air.

I don't keep fish, I keep water. Water keeps fish.

I've never been sure either. Sometimes it looks like the male is blowing them into the bubble rather than around.
Being labyrinths I wonder whether it's both to develop the labyrinth organ?
Well done on the spawning anyway.
