These are thick lipped gourami, one of the colour variants by the looks? If so they should be fine with more flow, I keep some myself and they do seem to cope ok, fairly robust by Gourami standards, your Gourami can always rest lower down they don't have to swim at the top of tank and your other fish - the Rummynose should certainly appreciate a good amount of flow, plants in general also seem to prefer some water movement

Ah OK! Yeah I have two 'red robin' and two honey...educate me!
I guess just keeping the bar 2cm under water and pointing straight to the front as apposed to directing it slightly up would be fine then regarding surface agitation

I'm not sure whether to take the spray bar off the back of the tank and place it on the side panel, same side as the inlet.... what's the best positioning for a spray bar? Hot topic I know 😋

Leave it where it is if it's circulating the tank. ;)
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

I found it's best left outside the tank ...makes for a great interior water feature.

 noooooo I've just settled with it across the back 😅
What size tank do you have? I've found having it on the side the flow doesn't make a full circulation....

140l, circulation is in part down to the set up of the spray bar. I would not use a Eheim spray bar without a nozzle on an end set up.
